People with physical and mental disabilities are given the chance to enjoy themselves, while building on physical health, in the Special Olympics, where they participate as a group and support each other.
This is an excellent approach to inspire millions of people and bring them together to spread positivity and give a global message about their various disabilities.
People should look up to these Special Olympians’ who display their courage and strength. They provide excellent examples of how to face the challenges of life.
One special fan of these Olympians is Arnold Schwarzenegger, former governor of California and renowned actor. He attended the Special Olympics World Winter Games on 23 March, 2017, which took place in Austria, his home country.
The opening ceremony of the 2017 Winter Special Olympics World Games was held on 14 March with a total of 169 countries participating.
Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a visit to the games to show his support for the athletes. He also recorded his visit and posted about it on Facebook, with a caption saying, “These guys inspire me!”
For the most part, the public reacted positively. People commented on Facebook, asking “the Terminator” to become their governor, and thanking him for displaying the importance of this event.
Quite sadly, amidst all the users sharing positivity, was one user or a “troll” who spread negativity through a comment.
No one can compete with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who put an end to the troll’s negativity and taught others to adopt tolerance and never say anything bad if there’s nothing good that you can say.
The closing ceremony of the Special Olympics took place recently, putting an end to the event. The athletes deserve a huge round of applause. And a special thank you to Arnold Schwarzenegger for promoting positivity.
