Thomas is a four month old baby, who was born with a skin sore on his arm. A bump was later found on his mid-region, and he was not long after determined to have an uncommon and forceful type of terminal malignancy. Thomas has an elder sibling, William, who is three years of age. One fine day, both kids went calm and their mother, Sheryl, quietly walked into the lounge with her camera to attempt to catch them in some kind of action.
“You know the tenets about when children are peaceful… I was anticipating that my child should be shrouded in Nutella or something however rather I saw this.”
William and his younger brother Thomas were lying on the floor, side by side, while William stroked his infant sibling’s cheek.
“My preschooler is telling his baby brother ‘Kuya (big brother) is here. Everything is ok.'”
Sheryl says they are looking at each other and loving Thomas as much as they can, and managing his analyses fairly well.
“I can’t even begin to describe the pain I feel each time I look at his precious face.
My heart breaks for every big smile he gives me because I know how much I will miss it when it’s all gone, and when you think my heart can’t take it anymore, it shatters even more when he gives his begging look when he’s in pain.”
“I wake up wishing it’s all just a bad dream and then I look at Thomas and I know it’s all real. I start to cry. I go to bed scared and I beg for the night NOT to be our last.”
Despite the fact that Thomas’ time left on earth is indeterminate, one thing that is without a doubt is that he is cherished profoundly by his folks and his elder sibling.
