One thief got the shock of his life after breaking into Rebbie Roberson’s home. Armed with a pistol and great aim, the 74-year-old Texan granny wasn’t about to get robbed in her own home.
The woman simply wanted to watch the evening news when she was rudely interrupted by an armed and masked intruder. After he tried to pull a gun on the elderly woman, she wasn’t about to sit back peacefully.
Instead, she reached for her .38 caliber pistol sitting on the living room coffee table right in front of her … and just in time too.
“And when I started to get up, he was in here on me with a gun facing me right to my face,” Rebbie explained. “I reached over there and grabbed this gun. And when I swerved around, I pointed it at him and he ran.”
Running after the man, Rebbie was putting up a fight. She even managed to fire multiple rounds while chasing the burglar through her home!
“I’m not sure I didn’t hit him. I don’t know yet. I sure tried. I sure was hoping,” the woman commented.
While police don’t suspect the perp is actually injured, they have executed a search for the suspect in question. Even though Rebbie describes the incident as “the scare of [her] life,” she still has her wits about her.
