Man Cycling Through Western Australia Befriends Adorable Little Quokka

The little guy wouldn’t leave him alone!

I don’t know about you, but I remember watching Snow White and Cinderella and wishing I had animal friends that would dress me each morning and sing songs to be in the forest.

This guy came close to the ultimate animal-human relationship when he was cycling through Rottnest, Australia.

Campbell Jones was riding along when he spotted a quokka.

You may not be familiar with these little marsupials, but they have adorable chubby cheeks that make them look like they are eternally smiling.

Of course, Campbell stopped to take some pictures of the little guy.

The sweet part of the story came when he turned back towards his bike and the quokka came running after him.

“I put down the GoPro and it jumped at me as if to say ‘come back,'” Campbell explained.

Quokkas love meeting new people and are known to be very friendly animals.

You would be surprised by the sheer mass of photos under the Instagram hashtag #quokkaselfie, but the curious creatures are quite happy to pose for a quick pic.

Sadly, quokkas are a very vulnerable species with lots of deaths occurring from lack of water and nutrition.

So, make you sure you SHARE the story of these sweet little guys to spread awareness and increase their chance of survival.
