Leaked Photos Reportedly Show Final iPhone 8 Design

Contrary to what people originally thought, the fingerprint sensor will not be on the back.

New photos have been leaked reportedly revealing the up-and-coming iPhone 8’s final design.

Photos have been leaked by Benjamin Geskin, reportedly revealing Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8’s final design. The pictures show molds of the iPhone 8 in his hand- which look exactly like the model he leaked in April. The photos are also similar to images we’ve seen from other iPhone leaks.

Benjamin’s Instagram caption claims that this confirms the upcoming design. However, nothing official can be confirmed until Apple speaks about the photos.

His caption reads: “iPhone X (#iPhone8) with iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. Form is 100% confirmed. Touch ID in power button display. (99% NOT on the back).”

Details of the Photos

According to Benjamin’s photos, the three upcoming models include the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus – both of which are expected to have the exact dimensions as the existing iPhone 7 & 7 Plus- and the iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 is supposedly provided with a wider screen space, with a display of 5.8 inches. However, the size of the screen can only be estimated, since the photos only supposedly reveal the molds of the phone.

Geskin also seems confident that the pictures show the iPhone 8’s fingerprint sensor will not be on the back, but either underneath the display or incorporated into the side power button.

When Will We Know For Sure?

Apple officially reveals its upcoming products in September- with a “shocker” sometimes landing in June- so we are probably still a while away from confirming any of these stories, including the price, or even name.
