Have you ever had a sudden outbreak of those tiny white spots on your face? You know, the spots that make you think you’re slipping back into adolescent breakouts?
Well the good news is, these tiny spots aren’t actually pimples but in fact something completely different. Milia, or ‘milk spots’ pop up when keratin (a protein found in your skin) gets trapped underneath your skin. They’re annoying and difficult to get rid of, and there are so many ways you can get them. Too much sun, burns, blisters and even using steroid creams can cause these keratin-filled bums to appear.
The good news is that if you do get them often, they’re not too difficult to get rid of. And you can do it naturally!
Here are 6 ways to do just that, with ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen!
Lemon Juice & Sugar
Make a paste using 2 tbsp sugar, 1/2 lemon juice, one tsp of olive oil. Apply it to your face and leave it on 20-30 minutes before rinsing off.
Take a little bit of honey and add sugar and oatmeal to it until you have a paste. Put it on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off.
Castor oil doesn’t smell amazing, but it IS amazing for your skin! Mix it with some olive oil and leave it on your white spots until it is almost completely absorbed. Wipe off excess.
Tea Tree Oil
Just apply the oil to the affected area and leave it on! After a few hours you’ll notice a significant difference.
Slowly roast a pomegranate until it turns a brownish color inside. Crush it into a powder, then mix it together with some lemon juice. Apply it to the area with the white spots for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix together some apple cider vinegar and cornstarch until you get a thick paste. Apply it to your face and leave it there for 20 minutes, then rinse away.
