Bodybuilder Faces Heavy Criticism After Making Fun Of Overweight Stranger

She took photos and made jokes about a gym user, but her fans weren’t laughing

Originally from London, Diana Andrews has made quite a name for herself in the gym and on social media, where she has amassed more than 17,000 followers. People tend to look at her as a role model and a motivational guide.

This is why her recent behavior has been so disappointing, and surprising. Diana fat-shamed a slightly overweight woman who had come to the gym.

She took a picture of her on a treadmill and posted it with the caption, ‘Love handles’. She later sent a message saying, “I bet she’s ordering burgers for delivery.”

“Diana Andrews, my wife and I started as those overweight women in the gym. Together we lost over 200,” said one follower.

“This is why most people hate going to the gym to try and better themselves,” said another.

These are just two examples of how unforgiving Diana’s fan base became after her actions. Many pointed out the hypocrisy of shaming someone else for trying to look better and get in shape when Diana herself spent so much time in the gym trying to improve her physical appearance and stay fit.

Diana subsequently apologized for her actions, though many – including her fan base – doubt the authenticity of her words.

“I realize I was wrong to make this silly joke. It wasn’t my intention to body shame, hurt or disrespect anyone,” Diana said. “I saw this girl walking on the treadmill talking on her phone and I made a video and added a comment that she’s probably ordering takeaway.”

We can only hope this is an isolated incident that doesn’t truly reflect how Diana feels, or her fan base is going to disband in a hurry.
