It’s no secret that pregnancy has a major impact on a woman’s body. Imagine then having to go through pregnancy knowing that your body is your career.
As a three-time Miss Fitness American Pro, and 2014’s Miss Fitness Universe, Stacie Venagro knows a thing or two about having an incredible body with unbelievable core strength. Recently, Stacie announced her pregnancy to the world, and many began to wonder just what effect the stretching may have on her rock hard abs.
As committed as she is to her family, she is of course just as committed to her career and her passion as a bodybuilder, and nothing was going to get in the way of Stacie maintaining her strict regimen and fantastic body.
“My doctor told me all I needed was an extra 200 calories per day, none of this “eating for two” stuff. I wanted to make sure they were clean calories. I take in either a bigger breakfast or lunch and a smaller dinner. I’ll have an Isagenix shake, adding blueberries, chia and flax seeds, frozen berries, ice, water, coconut oil and powdered peanut butter. That takes it from 270 calories to more than 400 calories.”
Now, at thirty six weeks pregnant, her baby bump is quickly growing, but it seems as though her abs aren’t quite ready to go – as somehow she’s maintained some semblance of a six pack even with a child growing inside of her stomach…
#motivationmonday #29weekspregnant #11weekstogo This week we were in the Keys for our baby moon! We made the best of it even though the weather wasn't great.. We also went and had a 3D ultrasound done! So cool to see what or who the baby looks like even before he's here! Pics to come! #fitfam #fitmama #fitness #fitspiration #obliquesonfleek
Something seems off about it. It just doesn’t look right at all. There’s not just one baby bump, there seems to be a few! But, no matter what we may say about it, Stacie is happy and confident in her body, and so far, her baby is healthy too!
“Listening to the doctors and making sure you are on track is all you need. Don’t let someone else’s negativity ruin your day or even stress you out during your own pregnancy. One person may gain 15 pounds and the next may gain 100 pounds; everyone is different. You can only compare yourself to who you were yesterday.”
At the end of the day, all that matters is that they’re both healthy, and both feeling good!
