This bank robber just couldn’t catch a break…
During June of 2012, an armed and dangerous robber attempted to burglarize a Sarasota, Florida Bank of America branch. Much to his poor luck, a plain-clothed soldier was hidden among the masses of scared customers inside the bank.
According to surveillance footage, the robber, 34, bust into the bank demanding the bank tellers give him cash. He then pointed his gun at the soldier, a father, and his two sons, Ikaika and Kioni.
Fortunately for the people inside but not the robber, the man he pointed his gun at happens to be Staff Sergeant Eddie Peoples, who was one leave in order to tend to his sick father-in-law.
Sgt. Peoples immediately morphed into a superhero the second his young boys were threatened.
“I’ve been through five deployments,” he said to FOX News. “I’ve fought the Muqtada militia, everybody you can think of, so weapons getting pointed at me, it doesn’t really bother me anymore.”
To him, what the sergeant managed to do next was a complete “piece of cake”, of course compared to what he went through in war abroad. Watch below, you can’t miss it!
